F-35B: Mystery of the State-of-the-Art British Fighter Jet Stranded in India for Three Weeks
A cutting-edge British fighter jet has been stranded at an Indian airport for nearly three weeks, sparking curiosity and raising questions about how such an advanced aircraft could remain stuck in a foreign country for so long.
The British warplane, an F-35B, landed at Thiruvananthapuram Airport in the Indian state of Kerala on June 14.
According to reports, the jet was flying over the Indian Ocean when it encountered bad weather, prompting it to divert and land at the Kerala airport. Despite safely landing, the aircraft has not been able to return to the Royal Navy's flagship carrier, HMS Prince of Wales, even after three weeks.
Although the jet managed a safe landing, it later developed a technical fault, preventing it from returning to the HMS Prince of Wales.
